I mentioned this recently, but this reminds me of a post I once saw on Reddit. It had a picture of a room that was dark, damp, filthy looking, had no windows, a dirty mattress on the floor and a games console/tv. It looked like somewhere Ted Bundy wouldn’t kept his victims.

Men in the comments were insulting women for not thinking it looked great.

Ugh, this flashback! Had a similar situation with a guy who worked as a cook (! yiiiikes). His bed was a mattress without sheets, no covers on his pillow or duvet either. And the bathroom was filthier than most gas station ones here, poop all over the toilet bowl included @_@ But of course he had a nice sofa & fancy tech gadgets. . . the priorities were wild.
