I suspect this to be the case as well, especially as she and Sam have since split up too which must have left her feeling even more isolated.

I remember her sons saying that they didn’t go to her wedding because they didn’t want it to be the cause of bad feeling with the rest of the family, and they made it very clear then how close they were to their grandparents, so that would probably be another factor as well as the general vibe there seemed to be that Britney probably wouldn’t be seeing her sons again until she had reconciled with her entire family

Yeah, it sounds like her whole family is has rallied together and she's on the outside. I dunno what kind of mother she is, so I can't say if the kids are justified or not, but I will say that the adults around her seem to be really shitty and I wouldn't put it past all of them to lie and manipulate and use those boys as a tool against her to get their way.

The sad thing is that I think he truly believes that. I think the entitlement he feels towards her as "his" child allows him to believe that he knows what's best and controlling her was for her own good.
