Britney Spears settles lawsuit with her dad
Britney was due to begin two trials concerning money that her estate paid for costs related to her conservatorship and legal fees for Jamie's lawyers. The first trial was set for May and the second trial was scheduled to begin in June. Today Britney's lawyer Mathew Rosengart issued a statement saying that Britney has reached a settlement with her father, saying: "Although the conservatorship was terminated in November 2021, her wish for freedom is now truly complete. As she desired, her freedom now includes that she will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter.”
Jamie's lawyer said, “Jamie is thrilled that this is all behind him. He loves his daughter very much, and everything he has ever done has been to protect and support her.”
