I might have screamed in frustration at the end of episode 14 BUT Kim Soohyun and Kim Jiwon have been firing on all cylinders since episode 1 (their chemistry is 11/10 too) and as a fan of hers I really want Queen of Tears to be a smash, she deserved Hallyu queen status ten years ago but I will settle for her getting it now.

Been a fan since her High Kick days and she's such a chameleon, I can hardly believe it's the same actress playing Haein in QoT and Aera here. Especially impressive because her face naturally lends itself to that aristocratic/rich-girl aura - which is part of why she's so perfect in QoT, can't believe they offered that role to IU first - but she's played so many girl next door types and done those flawlessly too.

Story-wise, QOT is nothing special and I don't think it can compare to Goblin. I didn't watch CLOY, so I can't speak on that. No hate for QOT. The actors are phenomenal and popular, so I get the hype but that aside, the story is eh. I watched the first few episodes and am not sure if I'm going to continue. Maybe I'm just not in the mood for a heavy drama, IDK.
Instead, I'm watching Lovely Runner. It's so cute, and I love the fantasy aspect of it along with trying to figure WTH is happening or going to happen.

Netflix subtitles are so shit and actively wrong/fake sometimes. Like in QoT ep 2 there's a line where the line (in Korean) is "let's just say we had a good relationship" (as in, not necessarily a romantic relationship) but the English subtitle translates it as "let's just say we broke up on good terms" - this is so wrong because in one stroke the subtitle writer made them exes and created a relationship that doesn't exist in the drama? This is so wrong.
