How Jesse Plemons joined ‘Civil War’

Jesse Plemons was cast in Alex Garland’s ‘CIVIL WAR’ just days before they filmed the sequence.

It came after the original actor dropped out a week before filming began so Kirsten Dunst suggested asking Jesse.

He was so good in this part, jesus christ. Like it's just this one scene, part of which was in the trailer that I saw 1000 times, and still!!

[Spoiler (click to open)]I was tense as fuck the whole time, and the tension just kept ratcheting up. I started crying toward the end of it when once he shoots Tommy, and was ECSTATIC when Stephen McKinley Henderson ran his ass over!!

He's alarmingly good at playing sociopaths, but also good at being a sad sack, and also good at comedy... versatile king!

[Spoiler (click to open)] It was so tense! I did not see how they could possibly get out of that situation. Just a psycho you can’t reason with in any way.

Thank you for spoiling this scene! I do not want to see this movie but seeing his performance in the trailer did have me curious.

My friend and I watched this yesterday but we for some reason didn’t really think through before we ate gummies and we were very uncomfortable & paranoid, especially since the Boston marathon was like a day before and the bombing scene was a little too close to home. We walked out like 45 minutes in. I’ll prob watch it at home.

yeah, I can totally understand people walking out of this one, especially in your situation.

the couple sitting next to us walked out 10-15 mins before the end of the movie... I was like "you got this far and NOW you're leaving??" lol

I want to see this movie but I kinda feel like I'd be a nervous wreck the whole time.
