Jesse Plemons was cast in Alex Garland’s ‘CIVIL WAR’ just days before they filmed the sequence.

It came after the original actor dropped out a week before filming began so Kirsten Dunst suggested asking Jesse.

He was so good in this part, jesus christ. Like it's just this one scene, part of which was in the trailer that I saw 1000 times, and still!!

[Spoiler (click to open)]I was tense as fuck the whole time, and the tension just kept ratcheting up. I started crying toward the end of it when once he shoots Tommy, and was ECSTATIC when Stephen McKinley Henderson ran his ass over!!

He's alarmingly good at playing sociopaths, but also good at being a sad sack, and also good at comedy... versatile king!

I was so grateful that I was sitting in the third row and no one was sitting in the front section with me, I gasped so many times throughout this movie. At one point I started tearing up because I was so tense I think lmao.
