A nepo-hire with an already bad reputation cause Nicolas Cage wanted her off his set in a prior direction for carelessness. A live gun went off on their set iirc.

Yes, she randomly fired a gun on set without warning, and Cage lost his shit on her, and rightfully so.

She was also pointing guns in people's direction which is a big no-no. A lot of actors will mention how armorers will yell at them if they start playing around with the guns and pointing it at people regardless if its loaded or not.

Citing recordings of nearly 200 calls that Gutierrez-Reed made since being incarcerated, Morrissey said the Rust armorer did not take any responsibility for what happened on the repeatedly trouble set. As a filing from prosecutors last week revealed, the calls found 26-year-old Gutierrez-Reed calling the jurors of seven women and five men such things as “retards,” “idiots” and “a**holes.”

she also told her legal team to reach out to hutchins' husband and son to speak on *her behalf* at the sentencing, blamed the set medic and first responders who showed up to set for the death, and a bunch of other fucked up things in those phone calls. i don't really feel sorry for her at all at this point

I can see this asshole going on a press tour when she gets out of jail. I’m sure she’ll be crying about how poorly she was treated, and make herself the victim.

Good but 18 months seems light. My heart goes out to Halyna’s family and loved ones. This should have never happened.
