Daniel talks about his Broadway show Merrily We Roll Along (he also recommends the documentary Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened about the original 1981 production of the show). He says his parents played Sondheim for him as a kid and now his son is already growing up with Sondheim songs due to his role in MWRA.

He's had such a fun and interesting career post-Potter, and just seems so lovely.

I love that he has clearly been choosing projects that he’s genuinely interested in rather than doing whatever comes along. It’s been pretty obvious, especially with a lot of his recent projects (Miracle Workers, the Weird Al movie, and his theater roles), that he’s very happy and really enjoying himself.

I think I'm crushing on him again. His post Potter career is fantastic because he's clearly doing things that he enjoys doing over something he'd have to do for money. He's an adorable pocket king.

I also sincerely wish there was a Broadway streaming service. So many people will never be able to make it to Broadway or the West End and I would ABSOLUTELY pay for a streaming service to see these musicals and plays. They released weekly plays/musicals at the beginning of the pandemic and I miss that.

I think you can stream some London theatre now but it tends to be plays rather than the big musicals.

There is a streaming service called BroadwayHD, and in the UK there is National Theatre at Home. Not sure if they are available outside of the UK.

Oh I didn't know about the UK one! Thank you!

I just binged all the HP movies for the first time and I’d argue Dan starts getting pretty good by Prisoner of Azkaban! Definitely leagues better than the other kids! He’s also in like almost every scene in every movie which is crazy, he was WORKING

I genuinely think him saying to Dumbledore "I couldn't leave him, not there" about the body is very touching. Again, admittedly with the dad's excellent acting behind it.
