The Scary Movie franchise is making a return.

The last film was 2013's Scary Movie 5 which flopped and starred Ashley Tisdale.

The film will go into production in the Fall of 2024, and should hit theaters sometime in 2025.

But...these movies were a product of that time period. The first few were funny and then they got aggressively awful. There's no way it would be funny now

The first ones were from the Wayans that’s why they were good. They had nothing to do with the other films.

There's been so many new, innovative, interesting "scary" movies that are so so so different from the teen slasher movies popular in 90s/early2000s that the first two scary movies parodied heavily.

They tried it with the paranormal activity parody and that wasn't good, but there's so many to pick now, from the Conjuring universe, Annabelle, Nun, even M3gan.
