I’m sick of the steroid look expectation in Hollywood. Someone (here?) shared a comparison of how Russell Crowe looked like in Gladiator vs Marvel guys now, and it was so frustrating. Russell looked believably muscular, with body fat, but nowadays the expectations for men are to be extremely lean with a huge muscle mass. They all look like bodybuilders about to step on stage, but if you ever talk to anyone in the final stages of prep for a bodybuilding comp, they’re barely holding it together.
