The first Toy Story is legitimately my favourite film of all time, I love the universe and the characters so much and even I'm like Karen Walker Screaming Enough.gif

It's also so wild that the first one came out when I was 8, and the franchise will still be going when I'm 39

i wish they'd let their original ideas cook more. they had some interesting ideas in wish and raya, but i felt like they were all underdeveloped.

i feel bad for the animators because they all have to work on such bland and safe films.

I was so hyped when it was originally announced, especially as a Degrassi fan. :(

It had to have been a mess behind the scenes. Replacing your lead actress and directors and adding more writers a year before release is crazy.

Disney and Pixar (mostly Pixar) used to be so good at creative ideas and storytelling. Every now and then we get a good story like Moana or Encanto, but it feels like the exception to the rule these days.

Corporate greed has just killed that originality off. Like in the creative presentations “wow what an amazing original idea, I can tell you all worked really hard on this. But you know what would be even more amazing? Sequel 100 to an idea your forebears had in the 90s. I think we can keep flogging that horse”.

Like what creativity I have in my soul (there’s not a lot) would just shrivel up and die.

i also selfishly want black cauldron and atlantis to have a better chance at being in kingdom hearts.
