How many eps are there going to be to wrap up the story?

The first 2 seasons of Disco were good. But once they leapt into the future.... oof.

But I've watched Enterprise so it's not like I haven't watched mediocre Trek before so I'll see this through to the end. But it's a real shame that Disco turned out the way it did.

I'm a long time Trekkie and I felt completely the opposite way. The first two seasons were too dark and depressing for Star Trek, meanwhile after the time jump, it felt more like the original.

Like you, I'll watch to the end, because I watch anything Trek.

Agreed, the first two seasons were a really interesting change of pace/direction for Trek and it felt fully realised and was just a great watch.

...Then the time jump happened and it feels like the writers didn't expect more than the two seasons so they had no idea what to do and now the past two seasons I simultaneously feel like too much happened and also nothing happened. It def has its upsides, but also just a lot of disappointments.

Disco is so flawed but I love Saru so much. Reports are Doug Jones is done with the makeup roles after this so I hope he gets some good plot for his last go.

I mostly enjoyed this. Stamets wanting a legacy is silly. He’s so young and has so much time. Tilly being around again was fun. I thought Michael was written with more balance than she has in the past. It wasn’t all drama; there was fun and joy in there too. I think I like the new guy. He’s crusty but has the curiosity and lateral thinking I love in. Starfleet officer.

I like the mystery so far. I wish they’d lower the stakes a little but it’s the last season so this is when the stakes should be high. The problem was season after season of universe ending stakes has dulled the impact now.

They always try to have this be the most important ST series ever and really just want to focus on Burnham/Booker.

Like the comment above, I was into this for the first 2 seasons but they really lost me with the time jump. Never got around to S4. I absolutely loved L'Rell and Tyler and missed them, and then when they sent Georgiou back in S3 I was like nah I'm done. Strange New Worlds is much more my kind of Trek and I'm loving it.

seasons 1/2 were the best. After that the series went downhill.
