Disco isn't great but I love it and I can't believe there's been something like 2 seasons of LDS, 2 seasons of SNW and 2 seasons of Picard since S4 of Disco. We finally get our own jump-in Star Trek logo opener!

I will miss the "Black Alert" klaxon. I wish my gal Detmer got more to do, but they've quite clearly established that the core group to focus on are Michael/Saru/Book/Tilly/Stamets/Culber/Adira so... not holding out any hope. Kind of like how I started the show for my Emperor Michelle Yeoh, but that didn't turn out the way I expected it to lol. Except I now get to call her my Emperor.

I recently watched the first 2 seasons of Disco as a lead in to Strange New Worlds and I am realllly not a fan of how Michael is written 😕 I’m not sure if I’ll watch S3 or 4. But I’m really enjoying Strange New Worlds - just finished the first season!

Michael tones down ever so slightly but 90% of everything is still revolved around her and everything she does ends up in her favor.

It really is such a shame because it is the most beautifully shot Star Trek series with amazing costumes (that never should've been in a series set during the OG timeline but...)

I'm probably super late to this but I was so annoyed with Michael in the first episode because literally she cannot follow directions and thinks her way is the only way and the best way possible. Like dude you're telling another Starfleet captain to stand down like he's new here but you have to be pretty bad ass to even become a captain in the first place so that annoyed me. Also (idk how to do a spoiler cut so I'll try phrasing this carefully) the magnetized boots in warp absolutely took me out. A WARP BUBBLE? Get the fuck out.

The writers go so hard trying to make Burnham the best Starfleet person to ever exist and her legacy won't have the same impact everyone else's have
