I can't @ Magneto and Rogue disappearing to fuck for several hours. 😵 I mean, maybe not, but that's certainly what Gambit thinks. And given how many times the movies cockteased us with a Sinister appearance only to not follow through, I'm glad the show got right to it in ep 3!

I'm OK with the animation style; it seems almost anime-ish to me at times, like in the flashback of Jean in labor. (Also, is it wild that they actually showed the umbilical cord a few times?? I feel like Western animation geared at kids is usually very pearl-clutchy about stuff like that, so that was weirdly refreshing.)

calling it that it’s just a misdirect and all their training is actually magneto helping rogue with her powers.

gambit got jealous and possessive about rogue being close to other men in the original series, too (with archangel, even wolverine in one episode lol), so if this time she’s spending time with an actual ex, of course he’s going to be even more upset. they were not acting romantic or even remotely secretive in their scenes this week.

unfortunately i don’t think this plot is getting resolved until at least episode five when they go to genosha

I feel like he's helping Rogue with her powers too. Though, I do love seeing Gambit suffer because I love angst. And tbh, I'm here for them adapting Rogue and Gambit's messy past in any way if it leads to them eventually making it official in the series. Because they aren't even dating yet.

i love angst! but i definitely admit that fan response soured things for me. i’m sick of rogue always getting singularly bashed for just existing in these stories, especially when the milquetoast triangle involving an actual married woman is not only cheered on, but gets nonstop threesome fan art (….and even featured on marvel pride month covers???? like… lmfao be serious guys)

gonna hope the actual payoff is enough to make the suffering worth it lol
