onto bigger and better things, like playing as many rapists and wifebeaters as possible

Ngl, that's really killed his appeal for me

And given what I see as TikTok discourse (especially BookTok), seems like plenty of other people see that as his big appeal these days.

This wasn't a surprise though??? I thought we all knew this from D23 in 2022 when Sebastian was part of Thunderbolts, not Cap 4. Idk why people are acting like it's brand new information.

That said, it's likely there will be a post-credit scene to bridge the movies added on post-production.

This makes it seem like he is going to be recast or something. He's just going to be in a different movie.

Yeah, this is a needlessly dramatic/click baity headline. The Cap 4 movie has been cursed so idk how successful it'll end up being.

weird that he's still part of the marvel machine but not in this

Why does it feel like Marvel/Disney are just grasping at straws to try to recapture the lightning in a bottle that was the Infinity Saga.

It feels like they keep making hasty changes to things in some sort of scramble.

They've definitely went too big and forgot why people liked the franchise and saga in the first place.

Honestly them not realizing that people are over this shit genuinely has to make their upcoming projects one of the most monumental wastes of money of all time. Same with the last few DC movies and Sony super hero releases. People are genuinely over this shit.

Exactly. I think the pandemic lockdown played a part, as it was not safe to be in a giant crowd of people for opening weekend. After Endgame, it felt complete and most people were satisfied with that. Then MCU started to projectile vomit content across different platforms, and had the arrogance to assume that everyone would still be that invested. Going to one or two movies a year is one thing, but going to three or four movies a year, watching three or four series on Disney Plus, following online content, and comic books just to keep up with a poorly defined overall arc, felt like too much like work and a chore.

It’s kind of a dumb decision. Their chemistry was good.
That said, Bucky is one of the most overhyped characters in the MCU and he has yet to deliver on his promise (never gonna happen now)
