I find it a little endearing that most celebrities, especially actresses, but I've seen female music artists do this too, put on their makeup with their fingers or some random brush, where as influencers are the opposite. I get that's their shtick but I'll watch these types of videos, all day then some influencer selling the latest thing they were given or promoting.

Lady Gaga's makeup videos are still one of my favorites.

I’ve really enjoyed playing around with skin care but yesterday I realized I’m tired of having an elaborate routine and I just need to simplify. I gathered up everything that’s not a mask, cleanser, moisturizer, vitamin c, or retinol in my stash and told my teen to take what they wanted and toss the rest.

It felt so good to cull so much and I’m sure my skin will be happier for it.

People who have a tretinoin rx: I want to try getting it from a dermatologist instead of Curology, but I've never been to the derm before. What do you say when asking for tret from your derm? Do you just say, "hey, can I have a tret rx at x percentage?" It would be for anti-aging, so my insurance does not cover it. Thanks.

yes, i just said i wanted prescription treinoin, and my doctor put me on the standard percentage/strength. you don't have to know what strength to ask for -- your doctor will know and just prescribe it, probably at the lowest strength unless you ask for higher.

My doc put mine throught as acne medication and insurance covered it. But usually your doc will recommend the lowest dose so probably .025. Take it slow and let your skin adjust, wear sunscreen daily and don't use any other actives until your skin gets used to it!
