The actors will look even older now.

I'm guessing there will be a time jump. None of the actors look particularly old but high school aged was already a stretch last season.

They’re going to be doing college (or college-aged) stuff, I believe.

there's no way any of the main cast actually want to do this show any more.

It kind of reminds me of Hunger Games when Lawrence was winning Oscars but still had to drag herself back to this weird YA mess.

I feel like JLaw at least enjoyed making those because she was super close friends with the cast. I just don't see that being the case with the Euphoria cast lol

Zendaya and Hunter are always hanging out.

I feel like both the cast and audience have largely moved on.

As I'm rewatching 90210....i miss more "normal" teen shows.

But I'm also tiring of how waiting 2-3 years for streaming shows when broadcast can do 22 episodes in 1 year with only 3 months off inbetween.

Most streaming shows aren't even worth the wait.

And it's genuinely untenable, as you say, for teen shows. Most of the actors start out at 19/20. You can't wrap up senior year with them all being 30.

Have teen shows on streaming had this problem, in general? Something like Never Have I Ever did its four season run quite smoothly from 2020-23.

Other then Euphoria, Sex Education was another teen show where a lot of people started talking about how much the cast had visibly aged out of playing teenagers by the final season, and I know that some of the actors spoke up agreeing with them that it felt a bit ridiculous when they were well into their late 20’s/they were ready to move on

The fourth season came out over five years after the first, even though each 8 episode season was only meant to cover the length of one term time from what I remember

it feels like every member of the cast has a different answer for where it is in the production process when asked lol, like i don't think anyone is trying to be misleading but it seems like a mess

i do think hbo wants to make s3 soon since it was huge (and the stars have only gotten more famous), but if they haven't locked the cast into s4 contracts this must be the last one. no way they're getting them all back for more.

If they were smart they'd tie it up with 2-3 movie length features that focus on Rue and Jules like they did with the special episodes to tie everything up.

The best episodes were the special episodes about Rue and Jules. They should do that.

I don't remember anything about Cassie besides the fact that she cried for 90% of her scenes about fucking her friend's ex. Did she even have a resolution? Did Maddie even have a story arc? They all can leave!
