A good friend of mine was in his class in elementary school when Phantom Menace came out and said he was the biggest asshole but I mean...they were children lol.

so much of star wars fandom makes me ashamed to call myself a fan as well. no matter what triggered his mental health struggles, there's no excuses for harassing a literal child the way many did.

I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan. Like, the minute my parents could sit me down to watch the original trilogy, they did. But I've pulled away from it a lot thanks to the fandom. I can't believe it's behavior that's continued into present day too.
