I wonder what it will feel like when they inevitably adapt the Love Hypothesis and cast Lucy Hale to play Olive.

I sympathize with her to a degree, but, at the same time, those three movies probably gave her more money than 99% of people will see in their lifetime, to say nothing of merchandising likeness rights, so while having her career stall like that couldn't have been pleasant, she wasn't hurting for money.

Merch rights can be tricky and dirty. Cause I heard Dominic Monaghan years ago that he and the cast receive next to nothing from merchandise. He mentioned that Viggo went to the bosses about that because of how much money was made off their images and he wanted out of it obviously but they shot him down.

Orlando Bloom mentioned that he was only paid 175,000 for the entire LOTR trilogy. And that trilogy made a total of 3B.

That’s why I’m not surprised actors sign up for fashion houses and other campaigns cause it looks like that’s where they make most their money.

Exactly. That's one good thing about casting relatively unknowns in potentially big franchises--none of them have the galls or experience to negotiate or think long term like that and likely couldn't afford a team that could look out for them like this either unless they're nepo babies.

Yep. Some are just happy to have a job so they don't think about it either!

8 years! Really?! Wow. Crazy how time flies by. DanG… All the best wishes to her. Maybe she’ll catch her big break somewhere! Do some small time independent films if she finds it passionate, some tv gigs and/or commercials, attend acting classes, etc?

I'm excited for the Rey movie. Daisy is adorable and deserved so much better than what she got from all the incel losers.

There's rumors that it's been quietly shelved, but I've only seen it on a few choice "movie insider" blogs.

And wasn't it just because Mark Hamil was riding on her back in a picture? They are so pathetic.
