“The AI deal struck by the guild for Hollywood seems to continually be met with contention amongst smaller actors on IG posts.”

That’s because my fellow union members, after voting “YES”, like sheep or lemmings (take your pick) on our last contract, feel bamboozled. They were so mesmerized by that “pocket” of revenue that Fran and Duncan kept praising that they didn’t see what was about to happen especially with that AI “deal” shortly after.

I’ve tried to be supportive and positive about my union during several negotiations in the past, but it’s been increasingly more difficult to continue to do so. It’s clear they only want to cater to their well known members instead of the everyday working actors which make up a majority of our membership. Does anyone really think they’re going to see that “pocket of revenue” that has been mentioned several times?

Yeah I couldn't speak to it bc I'm not in SAG but I follow them; I don't see people happy with what happened, I was happy the strike was over but now that I know the deal is shit, I'm like .... you know what if they went back on strike it would be valid.
