No chill lol. I saw that JVN used that Tiktoker Rynnstar’s educational videos on racism to explain it to his dad. like… yeah that tracks. This made sense about them behind the scenes. Oh well

idk anything about Rynnstar, but needing to explain racism to his dad? Not surprised. We’re from the same town and the way that everyone is so casually racist with no awareness caught me off guard when I first visited after moving away and that was over a decade ago. It has only gotten worse in the last few years. You still have the ignorant “can’t be racist, my neighbor is black” mentality and then now the PROUD to be racist.
After the Michael Brown verdict, I myself tried to have conversations about the importance of representation. They never got it.

Yeah the fact that he straight up used her TIKTOK videos to explain racism in its core. That’s a lotta to unpack. We have to think about that and it’s 2024 so like…??? Cannot tell if that was coming from a genuine place or just plain willful ignorance and being equally complicit on this. Reminded me of people using the term colorblind too and they seem to think they’re better or on a different level than their own racist people they’re still interacting with too. Just bc they think they can get down with black folks at their convenience and disposal. What is it that they don’t get about black people especially being in our presence and existence literally everywhere in life? Especially that they think being black (despite of biracial or multiracial being black) is monolithic. I have to laugh. Lol 😂

Like, aren’t there resources and libraries, books, even PBS etc. I-

I love QE so this is sad to see but I feel like Bobby has had the most grace in this situation and that speaks the loudest to me. Definitely thinking his side is the closest we are getting to the truth.

do you use Tan's trick of measuring if they will fit by putting the waist around your neck?

I do! And weirdly, it doesn't always work. Sometimes they fit perfectly, are too small or too big.

Jeans! You wrap the waist of the jeans around your neck and if the ends touch, the jeans should fit. I've had ones that overlap and they end up being too small. It usually works though, I've been doing it for years!

I didn't even know this was a rumour, but it makes sense to get someone they know in imo.
