Sarah Bahbah, an Australian-born Palestinian and Jordanian artist, posted a video accusing Selena Gomez of copying her art for the second time (The first time was for her video "Back to You" video). Bahbah says she was taken aback when watching

Was Selena on one of her famously long lasting social media breaks during this time? It couldn't have been her if that was the case!

I would assume the director had some input? I always wonder how much involvement the musician (used loosely here) on coming up with the ideas for the music video.

I understand why she might feel a certain way but miss, there's been loads of movies, commercials, and ads featuring a woman with a towel turban and bathrobe in a bedroom.

The eating thing made me think of Marie Antoinette. The pastel pale skinny slightly debauched thing isn’t that interesting.

I thought of Sofia Coppola too. And a little bit of Petra Collins. I can see why some of the things she mentioned would be suspect to her, esp considering it was the same location she used, but I’m not sure I feel like her artist aesthetic is all that unique.

I mean if it was just a similar aesthetic I’d agree but they also filmed in the exact same location.

Sarah is over here being a visionary. Doing things that have never been done before. There have never been scenes in movies/ads of a woman with her hair up in a towel, girls kissing, dancing badly. Absolutely original and not over done at all <3 <3

She’s grasping at straws with most of these.

Selena Gomez probably has no idea who this is, and has never seen her work.

I wanted to support her 100% because she’s a smaller artist & I hate when big artists/their teams steal, but… idk, girl.

Unless it’s hard to access this particular room/location and it’s never been done before by any other artist, I just don’t see what’s the big deal. Sure, a couple of things (like the matchy make out couples) are similar, but everything else has been done before a million times.
