I like that her comment is measured and not simply condemning the state of film today. So many filmmakers would just whine that “things are not like they used to be” and “films aren’t as good anymore due to x, y, z” - and while there is some legitimacy to those things, I like how she’s also able to see how some of those differences are positive

the only thing I have on there is prozd for his skits which is rare in between and this guy that plays cities skyline. Other than that I use it to watch music videos or hobbies stuff. I look for topics rather than specific people.

This the first time I’ve ever heard her say something and been like “OK yes.” Normally she’s so obnoxious to me, I’m bitch eating crackers level with her, plus I’ve read her emails with Foer, so she has seemed insufferable for ages, has me like “worst person I know just made a good point”, but I really like her analysis here.

I've gotten to bitch eating crackers level with Emma Stone, but in my case, I have no legitimate reason as to why I feel that way. She hasn't really done specifically ANYTHING or said anything to make me dislike her. But when I see her, I'm like 'not again pls' I need to see a therapist I guess to help me unpack this lmao

I'm the exact same way. I'm not gonna see any therapist tho lmao.

I was just thinking about this yesterday: We have gone through such long discourse about celebs being problematic (whether it's a deserved accusation or not) that it feels we're not allowed to just dislike them anymore lol. Like, I can dislike Emma Stone just fine without giving any reason as long as I'm not being sexist or violent about it.

lol same with Emma for me. Plus throw in Dakota Johnson, one of the most annoying nepo babies to me.
