As soon as eleven-year-old lovechild slipped that Pokemon Blue cartridge into their gray brick of a Gameboy, it was over! When the Pokemon TCG started taking off, I asked my mom for a few packs. However, she bought me a pack of cards that had screenshots from the tv series on one side and episode summaries on the back. She was only trying her best!

I wore my Drowzee earrings this weekend and got a lot of compliments. She’s my girl (I seem to only catch girl Drowzees in any game she appears).

I was an only child and I got my charizard to an absurdly high level and still, somehow my save was deleted without an older family member that wanted to play lmao (I think my BFF deleted it lol because they were jealous of the one stupid thing i was good at xD but it's been over 20 years so idk at this point, maybe i am a little salty still lmaooo)

Ahh I remember the thrill of playing Pokémon blue!! I bought the strategy guide and everything lol. I love the games so much. I still play Pokémon go.
I can’t believe it’s been 25 years 😩

I had one for KH, too! If my mom did not give it away or donate it, I think one of my younger siblings has it.

Man my brother's and I were such nerds back then for pokemon (now too lbr). Idk how but my brother was able to get his hands on Japanese copies of Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Green before they came out in the US. We felt sf cool being able to play it before anyone else even tho we didn't understand shit lol.

I’m trying not to buy anything frivolous right now, but my Charmander section of my bookshelves would look so good with that magazine. Maybe I’ll ask for that as my belated Valentine’s gift.

I’m pretty far removed from all things Pokemon at this point but the show/games were a huge part of my childhood, I’ll always love it for that

I was at that point in college and then in my senior year a friend who’s a big gamer lent me his 2DS with an older pokemon game. Yellow, iirc. There was something about taking a Saturday morning to play an old game that really helped me forget about worries of exams and planning for the future for a while. Ended up buying my own device just to have when I need a pause from the world.

On a side note, if you have Netflix that Pokemon concierge show is so cute and relaxing. Highly recommend.
