I really liked this episode! Up until now I’ve been kind of like “Eehhh it’s interesting enough so I’ll keep watching…” but this episode was like woah. I feel like it’s really dismissive of the female leads to say this and I hate that I feel this way but I’d be interested in a show with Peter Prior as the lead -supernatural stuff 😅

I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever watched another True Detective season so…

i knew qavvik would help navarro with the spiral. funny how they discussed underground caves in public and suddenly the suspicious red-haired woman from the crab company appeared and heard everything. i won't even start on how no one except some random dude heard about this custom?
i also laughed when danvers told the kid to stay in her 'shack' that's literally a garage without heating. the fuck?! alaskans are built different i guess.
i see hank was committed to the worst dad ever bit right to the end, making the son kill him lmao i wish they would reveal him being a rat differently not straight up showing him talking to the mine boss lady. and the flashbacks of all the ghosts pointing at navarro... whew thanks i almost forgot all that!

the man who plays qavvik is going to be hakoda (sokka and katara's dad) in atla series!

ITA with all of this! It was so obvious when the redhead walked by, and it seemed odd that of all the people who live nearby, only that ONE GUY who Qavvik happens to know knew about the spiral warning rocks.

I had to laugh when Liz told Peter to go stay in her shack. I wasn't sure exactly what kind of shack it would be but I was pretty sure it would not have any kind of heat inside so when they finally showed it, I was like yup, that is one cold ass shack (but it was bigger and cleaner than I thought it would be).

And YES to Hank being an utter piece of shit until his last dying breath. He was a shitty person and an even shittier dad. Imagine forcing your son to shoot you because you fucked up your own life with bad decision after bad decision.

the shack thing is so ridiculous to me, the only explanation is that they NEEDED peter to be in close proximity to come and kill his dad but couldn't come up with something more... logical?
i want to like the show, the premise is good and there was a lot of potential, but with more episodes out, there are more little dumb plot or dialogue moments like this and at this point i find myself picking at everything.
the fact that tsalal was measuring pollution levels came out of NOWHERE. and why didn't they acknowledge the ending of the previous episode and navarro's bleeding ear??
sorry for dumping it all in this reply 😃

I truly have no idea what's going on in this show but I think it's shot very beautifully and I like watching Jodie Foster (except when she's having sex with men)

I feel like everyone is slowly starting to realize that this season is bad.

Even me who was ardently trying to convince myself that it’ll get better. I’m only watching to support the cast at this point. The setting is alluring to me too.

Honestly at first I was thinking that is it just me and my my ever crappier attention span, so I was definitely kind of relieved to see people starting to talk in the last discussion post about also finding this season pretty boring.

I love this season! Jodie / Kali's chemistry has me in a chokehold, tbh.
