I do hang with former coworkers. Trauma bond is real.
I think it gets kind of unhealthy to take an icy stance about friendships in the workplace (in service of "work life balance") when you factor in how much time of your life you do end up spending at work. It's so much time. Like, these relationships aren't nothing.

Work is 1000% more fun when you have friends close enough to have private group chat off the company messenger system so you can say the cattiest, bitchiest shit.

I wouldn't say I'm opposed to workplace friendships, I just get along with some people more than others, and as people have quit over time, I've stayed in touch with a few because we had bonded over food, shopping, etc. AKA not work stuff.
