Her roasting Tiffany Haddish was pretty hilarious

Mo’Nique responds to Tiffany Haddish’s GQ Magazine interview comments:

“If you had a husband like mine, you may not have two DUI’s. If you had a husband like mine, you may not be caught up in what looks like you could’ve been grooming a child.” pic.twitter.com/oUwE3S6qSF

LMAO I was like, "Was Gilmore Girls a sitcom?!" and then went to wikipedia and realized it was Mike & Molly which my god do I barely remember existing. And apparently she was also on Samantha Who? which lasted 2 seasons?!

Gilmore Girls also lasted longer than 5 seasons but I was hung up on that being the only TV show I know her from LMAO. I was thinking, "I have seen a fair bit of Gilmore Girls and I don't remember it being a sitcom even if they did make some laughably stupid choices."

Same! Mike and Molly completely passed me by. In my mind she was in Gilmore Girls and then Bridesmaids.

I did hear of Mike and Molly but it looked so poor that I skipped it. Obviously my memory did too.

Hmmm. She has a valid point, but she could have made it without mentioning a particular person. Not cool.

viola davis started this a while back when she was compared to meryl streep after they did doubt together.

in mo'nique's case though, it's an interesting comparison including the fact that one of the reasons mo'nique got "blacklisted"/trashed was over the rumour that her husband was the one destroying her career (when really that was the excuse used by powers that be), and for a couple years there were similar rumblings about melissa mccarthy...except she was still able to put out movies.

Good point! Also in the excerpt in the post, Mo'nique isn't tearing down Melissa McCarthy or badmouthing her. She's just pointing out that they should have had similar career trajectories but Mo'nique was held back because of racism.

A slight tangent but Melissa's film career just baffles me. I thought she was great in Bridesmaids and whenever I've caught her on SNL. But I find her other films unwatchable.

It used to be, but I it involves the lady responsible for Break My Soul (Zionist Version) and Isreal Renaissance: A Film so I can't even enjoy it anymore.
