You couldn’t pay me any amount of money to live in Florida. Y’all can have your swamp.

I live in FL, and I kinda like it. There are so many beautiful natural springs here. And many people aren't the MAGA shit. Being in a smaller town also gives you a chance to make a difference. Local LGBTQ groups are making such a difference here for the community, even though we had Voldemort and then Voldemort's accountant as Governors in state level. The state was purple for a long time. Hopefully it will be again. And I'm so used to alligators, mosquitos, rabid raccoons, fire ants, hurricanes and such, that when I am in a pristine safe place I almost find it dull. I remember swimming in a river in Oregon and was like what can eat me, and they were like nothing. Even the ants don't bite! Crazy.

THAT SAID ... the summers here are getting oppressively hot.

Edited to add: Totally forgot I was in a Roadhouse remake discussion post lol

He doesn't have the 80s charm that could carry these types of movies. He has a more of a 90's charm

Ooh that's a great distinction.

I was even telling my mom how everything about Roadhouse is so 80s that it would be very hard to translate to modern day. Kind of like why the Point Break remake also didn't work (90s vs 2010s)

And here we are lol

My knowledge of Road House is mostly from Family Guy when they honoured Swayze after he died. "House." "Road House." "That too."
