You couldn’t pay me any amount of money to live in Florida. Y’all can have your swamp.

I live in FL, and I kinda like it. There are so many beautiful natural springs here. And many people aren't the MAGA shit. Being in a smaller town also gives you a chance to make a difference. Local LGBTQ groups are making such a difference here for the community, even though we had Voldemort and then Voldemort's accountant as Governors in state level. The state was purple for a long time. Hopefully it will be again. And I'm so used to alligators, mosquitos, rabid raccoons, fire ants, hurricanes and such, that when I am in a pristine safe place I almost find it dull. I remember swimming in a river in Oregon and was like what can eat me, and they were like nothing. Even the ants don't bite! Crazy.

THAT SAID ... the summers here are getting oppressively hot.

Edited to add: Totally forgot I was in a Roadhouse remake discussion post lol

LOL!!! That fact that you also refer to Ric Scott as 'Gov. Voldemort' makes my tiny black heart so so happy.

To be fair, most of the people I made friends with are awesome, but Florida and I have had a lifelong adversarial relationship that was only made more clear when I lived there for five very long years. And that was living in the blue corner that is Southeast FL. Some people love it, I will forever loathe it with the fire of ten million galaxies.

/ma'am this is a Roadhouse reboot post.
