Elle King performed this weekend at the Grand Ole Opry in honor of Dolly Parton's 78th birthday. She got onstage and proclaimed that she was "fuckin' hammered" and heckled the audience, saying, "Y'all bought tickets to this shit?" She forgot the words to the Dolly song she was performing, then shouted, "I don’t know the lyrics to this thing in this ( Read more... )

Wow, just wow. I feel bad for the audience, they were there to honor Dolly, and I’m sure Elle’s behavior put a damper on that.
If she has an alcohol problem, I hope she gets help. I know she’s garbage like her dad, but part of me feels bad for her if she has an addiction.

Same. Though she’s had a few days now where she could have apologized for it and hasn’t. Maybe she was embarrassed and hoping it wouldn’t go viral but yeah, disrespectful for sure. I hope she can get help if she really needs it.

Shame on her for not apologizing. Dolly is such a legend and to disrespect her that way was awful.

someone asked what the opposite of being a nepo baby is - where your famous parent(s) could actually hurt your career. Any thoughts ONTD?

Lori Laughlin's kids. I know the one dating Jacob Elordi is supposed to be an influencer or something but does she actually work?

Unfortunately, Olivia Jade probably came out ahead after the whole thing. She got more recognition than ever, and is dating whatshisface.

i dont think Olivia Jade ever really wanted to work. She was an influencer before the Varsity Blues scandal and seemed resentful that her parents pushed her to go to college instead of 100% influencing. I think she prob would've topped out as an influencer anyway so i doubt the scandal hurt her aside from the embarrassment.

Tacky and disrespectful. Dolly and the audience deserve better than that. It's extra shitty of her not to even apologize for it.

So many country songs are about drinking so *maybe* it wouldn’t be as big of a deal if she messed up and nonchalantly treated her own song like this - but to do it during a tribute to Dolly on perhaps the most famous stage in country music is… woof.

I would be pissed if I had to pay for that too.
