Grand Ole Opry Apologizes for Elle King's Bizarre Performance

Elle King performed this weekend at the Grand Ole Opry in honor of Dolly Parton's 78th birthday. She got onstage and proclaimed that she was "fuckin' hammered" and heckled the audience, saying, "Y'all bought tickets to this shit?" She forgot the words to the Dolly song she was performing, then shouted, "I don’t know the lyrics to this thing in this fucking town. Don’t tell Dolly ‘cause it’s her birthday." The Grand Ole Opry publicly apologized for the language that Elle used during the performance (I think they deleted the tweet).

It is also bewildering why Elle spoke in a heavy country accent, as she is the daughter of Rob Schneider and grew up in Los Angeles and New York.
