My literature teacher was so inspiring and is a big influence in my love for reading, which is something that's benefited me greatly in a lot of ways as an adult. I remember feeling like a freak bc I'd rather read than socialize with my friends at times when I was a teen, and he said 'your books are also good friends, it's fine to make time for all your friends'. That stuck with me forever, and made me far more respectful of my choices in general, so I'm forever grateful to him. Teaching is one of the most beautiful jobs in the world so I hate when people like that person in Hannah's story end up doing it. There's literally nothing about that comment that can be read even as constructive criticism, it's just mean and bitter, and something a good teacher would never say to a student.

well, she was wrong because Hannah is gorgeous and hot af. i remember as a child i was going to be the lead in a school play and wear a cute velvet green dress but the sister (it was a catholic school) gave my role to another girl bc i was fat, guess i know the reason why i was never confident lol
