TOP GUN is now a trilogy. TOP GUN 3 with Tom Cruise returning as Maverick is reportedly in development at Paramount. TOP GUN still has a long ways to go to catch Cruise's MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE franchise

Honestly I disliked TG2 for the script/story. The whole thing was just ridiculous. Stealing an antique plane from the obviously coded Russians? 😂😂😂
