I went to watch the clip and I think they’re misunderstanding this douchebag’s reaction, because he’s actually making fun of how her because she said it well… A lot of Spanish people have this thing where they hispanicize English words because pronouncing them in “proper” English will make other Spanish people mock them/think of them as stuck up. My douchebag ex-roommate did it every time I’d say “Better Call Saul.”

It might be changing for the youngest generations, but I’ve talked to a lot of Spanish people 25+ and they agreed on the feeling.

idk I've seen a lot of spanish people of all ages critizicing other spanish speakers accent in english as bad when it's too strong. I'ts a way of classism also, because the better the education the more you talk english and have a "better accent"

Did not expect the person mocking her to not even be a native English speaker lmao That's extra dumb because if the interview was in Spanish (I assume it was), she would not even be trying not to have an accent saying English words.
