I love the Cara Jade Myers mention. She was so good in KOTFM that I spent the entire time watching it wondering who she was and why I hadn’t seen her in more movies!!!

Also I think America Ferrera is going to get an Oscar nomination simply because she’s campaigning hard and most of her competitors are in weaker movies and while I don’t personally think her performance was deserving I’m here for it simply so I can sit and watch Film Twitter’s reactions…

Honestly I mostly like this long list! The only thing is BAFTA really didn’t like May December; Julianne Moore and the screenplay still made it in because those categories are weaker but it missed Picture, Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor. I had to laugh after the ugly discourse yesterday where Film Twitter was kinda being condescending towards Vili Fualaau!

the baftas are terrible when it comes to POC but i don't think jacob took melton's spot, i think it was dominic sessa, who is great in the holdovers but i just think it was him because he definitely wasn't the american anyone expected to get in.

and i know ontd hates saltburn but anyone paying attention knew it would play better in the uk and jacob clearly got swept up in that. i'd also say he's really good in it too and the movie kinda comes to a halt once he's offscreen but that's just a personal opinion.

I've seen Saltburn and The Holdovers and Jacob did not out-act Dominic. I'm not even a hater. Dominic did amazing in that film and it would have easy for him to suck compared to his costars.
