Happy to see Teo Yoo being considered because I honestly thought he was the best performance and emotional core of that movie!!

I thought Greta was at her best when speaking in Korean but it didn't always translate well when she spoke in English.

I don't know why people were saying John Magaro is getting no nom love....he's good but he doesn't really get much for awards consideration lol. He's barely in it.

If it was up to me Teo Yoo, score, and cinematography and maybe~ director would get noms at the Oscars. The first 3 to me were the strongest aspect of the movie.

Yeah I agree, the fact that it’s more likely to get a nod for the screenplay which was relatively weak when the directing was what really impressed me is killing me! I’m still kinda hoping for a surprise Celine Song Best Director nomination-she 100% has the directing style that that branch loves, just not the name recognition yet unfortunately.

Yeah the directing was actually pretty good and I wouldn't be mad if she got at *least* a directing nom!

Screenplay was fine but not the hype that people led me to believe! Like I think the directing and acting is what lifts up that screenplay especially Teo!

I'm rooting for Anatomy of a Fall for screenplay. It wasn't perfect but I think it's the film that had me engaged the most so I think that counts for something.

Just a reminder that the Baftas have never nominated Denzel Washington. So Charles Melton's snub isn't surprising at all.

It's so egregious. (Re Denzel and now for Charles.)

Last year Ke Huy Quan won the Oscar, SAG, GG, CC, Gotham, Spirit & 52 critics awards including the trifecta (NYFCC,LAFCA,NSFC).

Bafta was the only major group that snubbed him.

This year the only viable supporting actor contender of colour didn't even make their LONGlist.

Not surprised cause I remember it being pointed out that Denzel Washington has never been nominated at the BAFTAs. BAFTAs are wild!

Since 2010!! Apparently all the royals have been President for except for Richard Attenborough who William succeeded!

Presidents
1959-1965 HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh
1966-1972 The Earl Mountbatten of Burma
1972-2000 HRH Princess Anne (1987 - HRH The Princess Royal)
2002-2010 Lord Attenborough
2010-present HRH Prince William (2011 - The Duke of Cambridge; 2022 - The Prince of Wales)

Seems weird to give it to the royals....what do they know about film???

That list is so Posh and White Colonist lol. Even Richard Attenborough has to be listed as LORD Attenborough.
