omg I haven't heard Dream for an Insomniac brought up ever! It's so underrated (i need to rewatch it because it's easily been 10 years or more since i have). I had such a crush on Ione Sky between that film and Say Anything.
Truth About Cats and Dogs, too, it's been awhile! Now I guess I need to check out The Matchmaker because i like everything you listed and it's the only one I haven't heard of.

Also, i've always theorized that Kate Hudson could've had an even bigger career in romcoms. She was really at her peak right after the ~2003 How to Lose A Guy but then she had a kid at like 25 and disappeared for a bit, and i think that's all it took for her to lose her steam. It seems to be crucial for celebs who are killing it to keep cashing in on roles while they can get them. Like I imagine Sydney Sweeney would fade out if she disappeared for a bit.
Anyway Kate is so adorable and charming in How to Lose A Guy and i would like to see her in more rom coms.
