I knew Indira’s man-child was having an affair as soon as he spritzed himself with cologne before leaving for his alleged physical therapy appointment a few weeks ago, but it was still disappointing to see that it was true (if only because Indira deserves better). But I was glad it finally gave her the motivation to kick his stupid ass out. Hopefully he will do the right thing and leave obediently, but I can imagine him being the kind of asshole who refuses to go away. If they’re married and he wants to be difficult, I can only hope his plot ends with him conveniently caught in the crossfire.
I literally jumped into this season yesterday and have just finished ep 8. 😁😅
This season is excellent (way better than S4) and the constant dread of Tillman and what carnage he's going to inflict keeps the suspense going. Jon Hamm is terrifying tbh. That standoff scene in the hospital alone was great. I hope Dot is the one to kill Tillman (preferably slowly and painfully) or else his son Gator, maybe in a redemption arc for him. I suspected the Lyons' lawyer was never going to leave the Tillman ranch alive (confirmed) and am so pleased that Indira kicked that lazy, worthless, leeching sack of shit of a "husband" out (thought it was odd that he quickly sprayed himself with cologne before a physical therapy "appointment"!). 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Juno has been excellent too. I haven't seen her in much but she has really impressed me in this season.
I wonder if the writers realized that is a Simpsons line?
I agree on the writing, a lot of the dialogue feels so stilted and the characters feel inconsistent in a way that I don’t think is necessarily purposeful.
What kind of idiot lawyer goes to a corrupt cops stronghold and tries to negotiate with him without informing his boss first? It just doesn't make any sense.
I don't even feel any kind of uneasiness when I watch these scenes the way I usually do when nasty characters that always "get away with it" come on screen. It just feels cringy.
Excited to see the new episode! I expected nothing when I started watching it (haven't watched any of the previous seasons), but it's been absolutely great so far. Can't stand Jon Hamm tho, so I'm glad we don't see him more than 50% of screentime, I think I'd be physically ill if I had to look at his face a bit longer.
