Bradley so far has had only one expression on his face. The dialogue feels very "movie dialogue" and I don't get why there was a dance number at the beginning.
I had to stop because I was bored and the movie was feeling like homework.
Unless it improves dramatically in the second half, I truly don't understand all the praise it has gotten.
I can feel the desperation for awards. I miss when biopics were fun and wacky, like Amadeus or I'm not there. This pretentious stuff is just 🤮.

...anyway, seeing The Iron Claw on Friday before I head to my folks' for Xmas, then The Color Purple and Ferrari double feature on the weekend after Xmas, Memory and hopefully All of Us Strangers sometime the week after that. The reviews are making me think I should bump Boys in the Boat til later, though I'm bummed because I liked the book a lot. Maybe my mom will wanna see it over the holiday.
And I gotta find time to see Poor Things again because of my bad decision-making the first time around. 😬 and I have to squeeze in Fred Claus for WHM.
