Love him and loved STARVED. A truly wild show that I have convinced a number of people actually existed.

Sometimes I think I hallucinated that show. Glad to hear him mention it! He had a scene in it that has always stuck with me.

I wish I could find a trailer for this. The plot is something.

He’s one of the very few men I would not deal well with something bad coming out about. He’s a treasure and better stay that way😤

Same. Him and America Ferrera for me. I shouldn't be surprised celebs are problematic but there are a handful that I would be heartbroken for it something bad came out.

lol I love that that song is still so iconic to the show. Altho not gonna lie, I’ve rewatched on streaming so many times that I kinda don’t associate I don’t wanna wait with it anymore :/ now I just hear “my heart is in my hands. My head is in the clouds…”

Love him, of course, but I'm still trying to figure out what American Fiction was trying to say with his character. 🤔 It felt dangerously stereotypical at times, but then again the whole movie's about upending stereotypes? idk. But I love him as Jeffrey Wright's brother bc they both have such beautiful voices~*

[Spoiler (click to open)]I viewed his character as the one in the family who never has felt secure/safety in being themselves, and always runs from conflict because of this insecurity, especially within a family dynamic. yes, he's having 'fun' with boys and blow at the pool, but he's hiding. he's scared of being himself and being accepted into his family for who he is, especially after his divorce. I really liked his character, starting very flighty but I enjoyed how he comes around. and I totally bought his actions because recently out people sometimes have a whirlwind of excess as they settle into their own skin for the first time.
