I like her in general, but she was never a strong actress and I think she knows that, but her career would have been very different had she not met Tom, she basically only did 1 movie and a guest spot on a tv show in 5 years after meeting getting with him

She seems happy with her life and seems to have done a good work as a single mother after saving Suri from that cult

She was never the best actress (but when has that stopped someone from having a busy career), she could have had a decent acting career doing things like Greys Anatomy or This is Us if it weren’t for Tom.

Those are the fashion magazines that they said she's the queen of, but she's not on there for her acting.

I remember Katie was initially interested in doing Factory Girl (the Edie Segwick biopic) but Tom advised her against it because he said it'd ruin her career. I saw that movie and thought it was fine although if she would've done better than Sienna Miller.

But who knows? Cause Nicole was married to him longer and found most of her success during the marriage and went on to win an 2 years after their divorce.

Yeah obvs the comparison in terms of talent is a tall order but it does contradict the idea that she's not successful cause of Tom.

Maybe there was something but also maybe it has to do with her career taking a backslide due to the reasons.

After getting with Tom her career stalled for several years right when it was supposed to get traction (it was 2 years after the end of Dawson’s Creek, and she had filmed Batman begins and Thank you for smoking), without Tom she would have been in TDK and without a huge gap of several years without working right when she was getting a bit of momentum, so I agree that her career would have been really different, but we’ll never know

I'm sure she'd have a better career if she hasn't met Tom, but she hasn't exactly had an A-list career before meeting him and I don't think she was really on track for one.

Surely not A list, but she was on Batman Begins and without Tom she would have been in TDK as well, two of the most famous movie of that time, she could have had a solid career after that, instead of having only 1 movie in the first 4/5 years she was with him, it really side tracked any career trajectory that she might have had

Yeah I came in to say this. Like I'm sure he had some impact but she was never really on track for an amazing career.
