It's still so wild to me that France didn't submit Anatomy of a Fall for the Oscar, it has won basically every International Film award I've seen so far this year. Don't get me wrong, I love their actual nominated film, but I don't know if it's gonna connect in the same way this one has, which makes me wonder what will end up winning the award.
Now that I've seen Maestro, I am gonna be mad if it wins any big awards at all. Carey Mulligan was really the only good part, imo. Wtf is an "Icon" award?

I really want to see Anatomy of a Fall (it only played at my local arthouse theater for a couple of showings so I'm hoping it hits VOD soon), but I cannot wait for The Taste of Things. Based on the description it's like it was made just for me.

Hope you get the chance to see them both soon!

How does Killers of the Flower Moon win Best Film but not make the Top Films list? Is there some weird NBR loophole...
The inclusion of The Iron Claw is promising and I'm happy to see The Holdovers get so much love! Is Da'Vine Joy Randolph the BSA frontrunner? She should be.

Killers of the Flower Moon is their top choice. Only 9 other films are listed below that.

Heron is pretty surrealist, so it's very YMMV, but it seems kind of odd that multiple supposed bodies that are supposed to think and be open to the different ways movies are supposed to be portrayed don't seem to like it. Like Spider-Verse has swept every minor critics association i've seen in the category.

i know where to find killers of the flower moon, i can probably find out where john wick is, and i've seen barbie and the new spiderverse movie. i feel like the others are still only in theaters or on VOD for $19.99, and I do not want to spend 20 bucks to rent a movie at home. like, that's what i would spend on a blu-ray. if i'm going to spend that much, i want it to be physical media and i want to know if it's something i like enough to rewatch.

Technically, Google is free, but a lot of times I would see services that I have, but it was an optional add-on or available to rent, and I got pissed off too many times to keep doing that.
