I was really crossing my fingers and hoping my fave Jason & Daniella would pull out a win (his freestyle was so good!) but I'm not mad Xochitl & Val won.
I thought it was ridiculous that the credits started to roll before the winner was even announced. They don't give time for the winner to answer a few questions? It's so bizarre.

Alyson Hannigan feels so .. idk, lol, she's always annoyed the shit out of me. She feels fake. I base this on nothing but vibes.
The Houghs have really made their entire careers on this show, I feel like they'd be so lost without it
never expected Jason Mraz to be this good at dancing, his foxtrot was really lovely, so light on his feet

I give Jason credit for looking so relaxed during the opening number. The female celebs looked the way I would have: extremely anxious about sitting on a disco ball hoisted above the stage.
If I were choosing the winner based on the actual finale performances, I would have given the trophy to Jason. His redemption dance was so good, as was his freestyle. But Xochitl did well consistently every week so I was rooting for her too.

Five people is too many for a final especially when there's one person who's so much worse than everyone else.
I'm glad Xochitl won, I think she was the best performer throughout. Jason was good but his facial expressions were too much for me sometimes, it was distracting.

this perfectly describes my 20 year stanning of jason mraz because he makes the same (and much worse) faces when he's playing guitar. and scatting.

Justice for Matt! I’m still mad that he was basically punished for supporting the strike because there is no way in hell that his dancing was worse than Harry’s.

Although I don’t disagree with you about this, considering the over the top mugging that is common with ballroom dancers (including many of the pros on this show), I almost feel like he should have gotten bonus points for all his facial expressions 😆
On a related note, I can’t believe how many times I saw Val and the other pros singing along while performing this season. Professional dancers definitely know better than to do that. Even non-professional dancers know better because dance teachers always tell their students that it looks terrible to see you singing along (unless it’s specifically a lip sync performance).
