I didn't know this was out tonight! Todd Haynes and Julianne Moore are a fantastic due so I'm excited. Also Natalie can be really good under the right direction so I'm curious to see her play off Julianne. I've only heard amazing things about Charles Melton's performance so I'm already rooting for him to get an Oscar nom.

Me too! I kinda like when someone totally out of left field like a CW actor pulls off a great performance

ok i'm back. i am the 1000th person to say this: the main 3 leads knocked it out of the park. supporting cast was also great. that script was so deftly handled. i will be thinking over [Spoiler (click to open)]whether or not the georgie reveal was true or how gracie knew about it in the first place for a while. i love a quiet character study, so i was an easy mark for this one.

I thought this was a cute bit of promo!!

Anyway, I saw this a couple weeks ago and liked it a lot - I imagine it'll be in my top 10 of the year. All three of the leads were great, and there are some excellent supporting performances as well, particularly from Corey Michael Smith and Elizabeth Yu. It's such a tricky topic, and I feel like Samy Burch and Todd Haynes really balanced the humor and melodrama with the more serious moments in a way that makes them stand out.

I understand why Charles Melton in particular is getting so much love - he really embodies his character - but I hope Natalie and Julianne get some recognition as well.
