Dancing with the Stars 32x10

The big DWTS gossip of the week is that freshly eliminated Harry and Rylee spent Thanksgiving with her family in Los Angeles. In a TikTok video, she showed a Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet that he gave her (someone said this bracelet cost $14,500).

There are two of them. There is a choreographer named Mandy Moore who has been connected to this show and SYTYCD for years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandy_Moore_(choreographer)

So I assume someone the producers love isn’t getting the votes and that’s why we’re getting an overstuffed five person finale. Ariana? Xotchil? You know if Alyson was the lowest vote getter, they’d have sent her packing.

I’m excited for the finale. Dani, Pasha and Val are such strong choreographers that those freestyles should be great.

Jason has really improved now that he’s not sick, but his posture has bugged me since the start. He just doesn’t carry himself the same way the male pros do.

That's what i wondered when they announced no cuts. Was one of the strongest dancers - Xochitl or Ariana - cut and producers didn't want the finale to be mostly meh dancers with no close top 2?

I can't believe Alyson never got eliminated just to spite me

I didn't see last week, and I got a bit sick of the show so I probably won't watch the rest but thank you for putting all these posts together OP! I wouldn't have bothered with any of the show but your posts made it easier and more fun to watch <3

Once Harry was eliminated, I was ready for Alyson to go (I was offended by how many people were eliminated before Harry). I figured she was going this week so I was surprised/disappointed that she somehow made it to the five couple finale. Jason and Xochitl are the best dancers this season so I really hope one of them wins, but my biggest fear was that Harry was going to end up winning this season.

Harry winning would've been tragic. I also wanted him to go, but if people had to go before him I was happy for one of them to be Alyson. I would've preferred to see Barry or Mira stick around longer, or even for Matt or Tyson to get a couple of extra weeks to see what they could do.

But instead we got Harry and Alyson lol the audience cannot be trusted. At least Harry was entertaining sometimes though, in that I was fascinated by just how bad he was.

I definitely wish we would have seen more of Matt because he seemed coordinated enough to have potential to improve over the season. Harry was by far the worst dancer in this group and even after nine weeks, he was still awful and far worse than everyone else left. I spent all season worried that he would end up winning so I'm just relieved that isn't a possibility anymore. I think Xochitl should win, but I'm so glad that Harry has been taken out of the equation that I'm not going to complain too much no matter who ends up winning because I know it could have been a lot worse!

The way they tricked us by throwing the two best dancers as possible eliminations only to go SIKE. I feel like I fall for this every time. My dad was horrified when Alyson was chosen first lmao.

Next week should be fun.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think Charity deserved a 10 this week (or to be in second place this week). She isn't a bad dancer but she hasn't improved all season. She is the classic female celeb who is coordinated enough to learn choreography competently but never improves beyond that to become a polished dancer. Her feet are lazy (not pointed, not precise when doing a lot of steps), her arms are weak or messy instead of strong, etc. She's not a bad dancer (ahem, Harry) but she still isn't a great dancer either. But I know we're at the point in the season where the judges just start throwing 9s and 10s at everyone so I was resigned to her scores.

I also thought Ariana's jive was a bit weak. She needed more bounce and energy, as well as some precision.

But if Alyson is getting 8s and 9s, obviously the other dancers need 9s and 10s so I get it in theory (the obvious answer is that Alyson shouldn't be getting 9s or even 8s).

I agree about Charity. She’s good for this show but she’s not great. I think Artem doesn’t always focus on the details. I think if he pushed Charity more, we would see more improvement. I felt the same with Melora, Kaitlyn (even though she won) and Nancy Kerrigan.

It's really a shame because during week 1, I thought she was coordinated enough to have potential to improve. But she has remained at the same level all season, which was disappointing. I agree about Artem not always focusing on the details. I know they have a lot of material to cover in a short amount of time, but I really wish he would have pushed her to focus on things like her feet and arms because that could have made a huge difference in her presentation. She clearly has the capacity to learn so I don't think it's asking too much to teach her how to push through her feet and point her toes or pay attention to her hands and elbows.

I agree about Charity. She is so boring to watch and always seems low energy.
