Jeremy Allen White talks about going to restaurants with Ayo, the Christmas episode of The Bear, taking his family members to award shows, and learning to wrestle for his new movie The Iron Claw about the Von Erich brothers.
this is random but i would find it hilarious to see his character from the bear, thrown into the white lotus world and he's just trying to relax but all the rich people are stressing him out even more than the restaurant
The Christmas episode of the second season is so embarrassing. I know that's an unpopular opinion but everything...from the exhausting calculated stunt cameos, to the way it was shot, to Jaime Lee Curtis absolutely chewing the scenery was so cringe and the ultimate example of award bait. It also felt like it went on, and on, and on. I absolutely hated it. It's like they wanted to capture the magic and urgency of the edge of your seat episode seven from season one but just took it way overboard. The show I think really shines when it comes to its quieter, introspective, and sort of character study episodes but then every few ones there's an episode like...that.
I liked that episode because it explained a lot about the family and why Carmy is so addicted to chaos and why Mickey did what he did. But I agree that the best episodes of the second season were the quiet ones: Sydney going to restaurants, Marcus in Copenhagen and Richie working in the fancy kitchen.
You're right and you should say it. I hated that episode, I felt like all I could see was the entire production team with their hands out like - AREN'T WE WOWING YOU?! GIVE US OUR AWARDS!
I did love Jeremy's performance though because he was actually giving a performance and reacting to his scene partners, unlike everyone else who seemed to be delivering monologues directly to Emmy voters.
Also I can't believe JLC was the best they could do for Donna. I know they originally wanted Michelle Pfeiffer for the role, but was Lorraine Bracco also busy? Edie Falco? Katey Sagal? Annabella Sciorra? Literally any other actress over 60 would've been better.
This is me but with Richie. I’ll give away all my principles and self esteem from this man. My dirty fingernails ass stabbed looser divorced leather jacket wearing coke seller KING ! 🫡😮💨🥹😭
