I saw Dream Scenario and enjoyed it. Nic Cage was very Nic Cage but it fit because the character was so ridiculous. I thought the ending was abrupt, but I guess there was no where left for the plot to really go.

I think I am going to try to see Thanksgiving and Saltburn this weekend.

He has found a niche for himself in the last decade with movies like this.

I really enjoyed the movie, it was fun and twisted.

[Spoiler (click to open)]When he was at Molly's apartment I was dying. LMAO I just wanted him to leave and for that scene to end.

Saltburn no doubt won't deliver on a valid plot, but I hope it's fun.

i saw all dirt roads taste of salt, which i LOVED and was probably just the most visually stunning movie i saw all year, and priscilla which i am still mulling over. i really enjoyed the first half but the second half felt rushed and cold, i felt like we lost all sense of who she was as a character, which was maybe the point, but then when she decided to leave it didn't have the emotional impact it probably should have imo.

Yeah, the movie was definitely lacking in that regard. The movie focused primarily on how she was just an accessory to Elvis, she had no agency, nothing to say. There was a pretty telling scene early in the movie when he left Germany and she just stood there surrounded by his fans.

Next Goal Wins is terrible.

Went to a move festival last week.

The Holdovers was my favourite, though I'm confused why they didn't find a younger looking actor to play the boy, it took me out of the movie several time bc he looks 30. lol I also loved Frybread Face and Me, Black Barbie (read that Shonda/Netflix have acquired to distribute it world-wide, so hopefully it'll come to Netflix soon) and Late Bloomers.

Besides that, watched Priscilla, Sometimes I Think About Dying, Dream Scenario, Earth Mama, Eileen, Breaking the News.

The online version of the festival is still on, so I'll watch more. Definitely going to watch Fancy Dance.
