Tom Hiddleston talks about playing against Usain Bolt in Soccer Aid for UNICEF, shares how the finale of Loki Season 2 is a full circle moment and responds to fan theories about the series.
All I know is that this was the only other MCU thing this year (besides the Marvels, which I'm going to see this afternoon) I wanted to see but had low expectations considering the drek Marvel has shat out this year.
Mind. Blown.
It's fucking good. And if this is the last we see of Loki...I'm happy with how it ended. I know it's cool to hate on Tom Hiddleston, but that final scene was Big A Acting and it was impressive. Now go retire to the stage, Thomas.
[Spoiler (click to open)]Still want Loki to be Avenger Prime in the MCU, recast anyone as Kang and give me Team Loki v Team Kang for either A:KD or A:SW. That's just me tho. YMMV.
I binged last night and it made me feel like I did with old school MCU.
I've loved the Morehead and Benson's weird ass, time loop movies which I still don't understand but don't care cuz I was entertained. I feel the same way about Loki. What was going on? Not a clue.
But the acting and music and aesthetics were great. The music store scene was beautiful. And the easter eggs and character arc for Loki was so good. I love that his description of The Avengers was he was having a tantrum, and he's so old, it really was just a blip in his life.
He helped to give himself a very satisfying ending. I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons. The attention to detail especially. It had such a distinct vibe and look
I'm in episode 3 and the Kang actor is terrible. His acting as a stuttering yet cunning genius fails short....I already thought he was terrible in the 5 minutes scene we saw him at the end of season 1 but jesus fuck he truly is terrible.
I could appreciate the ending, yet as a Loki fangirl since the start I feel like i was given seeds of build-up that never grew into what I was led to believe they were going to grow into. Namely, I thought his arc was about loving himself in a non-narcissist way and learning to let in others which implied his ending would be about sharing his life with Sylvie (and yes I ship them so that really adds to my saltiness)
