I thought Anthony Bourdain paid Bennett for Argento because he was hoping to keep things quiet.

Idk if any new details came out since she then, but from what I remember she’s the one that accused Bennett of extorting her because he knew she was a “wealthy” target or some shit like that. She made him seem like a stalker and Bourdain encouraged her to pay him the money on the condition that he would stop harassing her and/or increasing the monetary demand.

So, idk what Bourdain actually thought of Bennett and how much of an influence she had on that opinion. But, I do know she’s gross as fuck.
