Grant Gustin and Isabelle McCalla have been cast in the Broadway musical Water for Elephants. Previews begin on February 24 and the show is scheduled to open on March 21. I thought it was more boring than awful. I kept waiting for it to get good.

it's the kermit tone in both of their voices for me, when gustin came in it was like a visceral reaction to nails on a chalkboard

I remember that big, rolling scaffolding piece from American Idiot.
The circus stuff looks like fun but I dread those songs.

I also hated the insufferable old man narrator in the book, and books that romanticize circuses drive me up a wall. Now, the day the adapt Freaks into a musical, that might give me something to look forward.
